Safeguarding and E-safety

Tudor Grange Primary Academy Perdiswell is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment.

We have a number of policies and procedures in place that contribute to our safeguarding commitment, including our Child Protection Policy which can be viewed in the policies section on our website.

Sometimes we may need to share information and work in partnership with other agencies, when there are concerns about a child’s welfare. We will ensure that our concerns about our pupils are discussed with parents/carers first, unless we have reason to believe that such a move would be contrary to the child’s welfare.

Our Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mrs Rachel Hughes, Headteacher. Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads are Mrs Claire Evans, Deputy Headteacher and Mrs Lucy Brooks, Assistant Head and SENDCo.

E-safety

With the ever evolving world of technology and constant introduction of new emerging technologies, e-safety is a key aspect of school life embedded across our curriculum. Our pupils are taught how to behave responsibly and safely whilst online during dedicated lessons throughout the year.

In addition to this, times are dedicated throughout the year towards whole-school e-safety initiatives such as e-safety based assemblies, in order to educate our students on how their online life affects them.
