On Friday 23rd February, Year 3 went to the Think Tank Science Museum in Birmingham. It was an amazing day and really opened the eyes of the children regarding how science features in our every day lives. Especially whilst they were investigating the ‘We made it’ exhibit, looking at generations of different items such as cameras and mobile phones. They were even more surprised at the fact that a lot of the items had been made within the West Midlands.

The light workshop was very well received with the children showing their acquired knowledge of light sources. Some of the children had the opportunity to take a role in the workshop by either demonstrating light sources, asking questions, or taking part in a shadow puppet show.

The highlight of the day was without a doubt the science garden. The children were impressed they could put their knowledge of forces, from the autumn term, into practice using all the equipment. They also had the opportunity to burn some energy and get some fresh air.

Overall, an amazing day and we couldn’t have been prouder of how respectful and well-behaved Year 3 were. Fabulous representatives of Tudor Grange Perdiswell.
