Ethos and Values
Our ethos at Tudor Grange Primary Academy Perdiswell, is to care for each other, include everyone and be safe, so that all children can learn and thrive.
Our school culture is based on the values of Tolerance, Unity, Democracy, Opportunity, Respect. These are a golden thread through our curriculum and evident in all our relationships. Mutual respect and the needs of others are embodied in our culture and everyone’s opinion and ideas are valued and celebrated. Children and adults are proud of our school.
Everything we do as a school is committed to ensuring the children’s success. We aim for the highest standards of teaching and learning, enriched with a wide range of opportunities to support children’s personal and social development. Perdiswell is a family of learners.
Promoting British Values
The Department for Education have said they want to “create and enforce a clear and rigorous expectation on all schools to promote the fundamental British values of democracy, the rule of law, individual liberty and mutual respect and tolerance of those with different faiths and beliefs.”
Tudor Grange Primary Academy Perdiswell actively promotes British Values, ensuring our young people leave school prepared for life in modern Britain. Pupils are encouraged to regard people of all faiths, races and cultures with respect and tolerance, and understand that while different people may hold different views of right and wrong our actions are subject to law. At Perdiswell we uphold British Values through our spiritual, moral, social and cultural education which permeates through the school’s curriculum, assemblies, supporting the development of the whole child.
