This half term we have been looking at set design during our art lessons. We have studied the work of Rae Smith and her process when designing the stage set for ‘War Horse’. We have also explored the work of a local theatre company; discussing the practicality of the set and why certain aspects of the design may have been chosen.

Year 5 have worked with mixed media, including charcoal and chalk to create dramatic drawings before finally creating their very own scale set (which they based on their favourite reading text this year).
