At Tudor Grange Primary Academy Perdiswell, we believe geography is more than a subject; it is a great adventure with a purpose that enables children to make sense of the world around them. Guided by the National Curriculum, we aim to inspire a lifelong curiosity and fascination with the Earth’s people and places.

Our curriculum is designed to spark curious and explorative thinkers who view the world through a geographer’s lens. We use our unique local setting—from the banks of the River Severn to the historic city centre—as a launchpad for discovery. Through fieldwork, students progress from mapping their own school grounds to investigating the wider Worcestershire landscape, including a river study.

We believe our curriculum emphasises the deep connection between human and physical processes. Students tackle concepts like climate change and sustainability, empowering them to become resourceful, active citizens who understand their impact on the planet and how we can help future generations.

We ensure children leave with a robust toolkit of skills. By the end of Key Stage 2, our pupils will be confident in interpreting maps, using 6-figure grid references, and communicating their own data-driven findings to a range of audiences.

Our Goal is to nurture “worldly people” who don’t just learn about the world—they want to explore and protect it.
