Science teaches an understanding of natural phenomena. It aims to stimulate curiosity in finding out why things happen in the way that they do. It teaches methods of enquiry and investigation to stimulate creative thought. At Tudor Grange Primary Academy Perdiswell children learn to ask scientific questions and begin to appreciate the way in which science affects their lives and the lives of others. They also start to recognise how science impacts on the environment and society. By working scientifically children will consider hypotheses, test them, record results accurately, and present these results, drawing conclusions from them.
